Definition of Awards
 | Outstanding
MCA Award May be present each year at the annual Mid-Continental
Association Conference. This award recognizes those unusually
successful accomplishments of an outstanding nature which have
occurred in the past year by an individual or a group of individuals.
Accomplishments need not be limited to the individual's field
of endeavor. |
 | Recognition
MCA Award Presented to an individual or individuals at
the annual Mid-Continental Association Conference. This award
cites individual(s) who, in their daily job-related activities,
have been recommended by their peers as deserving special recognition.
This award is divided into two groups:
 | Administrator
Award Presented to an individual or individuals who
hold the rank of Supervisor or above.* |
 | Achievement
Award Presented to an individual or individuals whose
job involved other than Administrative, such as investigator,
laboratory, etc.* |
 | Longevity
Award Presented to those individuals who have been a member
of MCA continuously for periods of 10, 20, or 30 years, etc.

 | Retirement
Certificates Presented to those individuals who have retired
or will retire before the next annual MCA. Conference. Retirees
must be current members of MCA. |

Awards Committee
The Awards Committee shall be comprised of one current MCA member
appointed each year from each affiliated state by the Nominations
Committee at the Annual Conference. One committee member will
be appointed Chairman by the elected President of MCA.
Duties
The Chairman will present the nominations to the MC. Executive
Board and State Directors at their meeting in November in Joplin,
Missouri, or at any other site so designated by the Secretary
of the MCA Board.
Selection Committee
The Selection Committee shall be comprised of MCA Board Members
and State Directors.
Duties
Peruse nominations for awards presented by the Chairman of the
Awards Committee. Select and vote on recipientsAward winners
must receive a majority of votes. Award recipients are not limited
to those nominations received from the individual states. The
Selection Committee can select other recipients.
* Recipients must be current members of MCA.
